Disney's Youth Education Series Program

Disney’s Youth Education Series (YES) program offers many workshops. As a group, we were able to participate in three different workshops focusing on Disney’s creative leadership, leadership strategies and techniques of teamwork. Each interactive workshop began before the parks opened, so it was neat to see another side of the park that most people don’t. I particularly enjoyed the leadership strategies workshop, as we were not only able to see how effective leadership produces innovation, but also gain insight in to the proven management strategies employed by The Walt Disney Company. As part of the workshop, we got to go backstage at Hollywood Studios to tour the Creative Costuming Workroom. The majority of costumes created in the workroom are show costumes. I was fascinated by all the costumes and the incredible amount of detail that goes in to each and every costume seen at the various shows at Walt Disney World.
